Pôle Energie

Year: Master
Students: 1

Dimension the solar panels of the boat and think about their implementation and cooling. Think and design the integration of a fuel cell in the new boat.

Year: Master

Analyze the students’ design solutions to ensure the environmental sustainability of the project. Start to make the LCA of the new boat and study the global impact of the proposed solutions as well as the viability of the proposed specifications from a climate impact point of view

Pôle Structure et Hydro

After a 1st phase of pre-design. Concrete design of the hulls of the new boat as well as the global structure. Thinking about the integration of the subsystems and defining the stacking of materials according to the simulations.

Design of foil profiles and vertical attachment masts. Depending on the weight distribution and desired performance of the boat, design and simulate optimized foils.

Design of the global architecture of the low power system and the data transfer system of the new boat. Choice of the components and realization of a test bench

Design of the global architecture of the power electronics system and of the security elements of the new boat. Choice of the components and realization of a test bench

Optimize and increase the robustness to disturbance and variation of the existing boat control algorithms to maintain stable flight phases with variable masses.

Design of a simulator, a state estimator and a digital model to prepare the control of the new boat. Design of an optimal control framework (MPC or LQR) + PID. Definition of a numerical model of the boat and its flight in order to calculate the regulator and the actuation of this one. And think about the implementation of the current FCU and its adaptation for the new boat.
